  • Nuclear power plants do not emit carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxide as part of the power generation process.

  • Provides 21%of the electricty in the United States.
  • Approximately 1/3 of the cost to build a nuclear power plant goes to the construction of reliable safty systems.
  • Only 1%of public exposure to radiation is caused by nuclear power plants.
  • New uranium mines and projects are sufficient to meet public demand of energy up until 2040. One uranium fuel pellet is about the size of a finger tip but is equal to 150 gallons of oil.
