Future

  • future_pic_WIki.jpgSolar energy will always be available to supply energy to the world in the future. Solar energy is a renewable resource because there will be solar energy for as long as the sun shines. However, the future of solar energy depends on developing new technologies. If solar technology was improved and used commonly, the Earth would never face energy shortages again. Solar cells are already becoming cheaper and more efficient by being made with less silicon.

For the 2016 Olympics, in Rio De Janeiro, there is a 344.5 feet tall tower used to power the olympics. The tower will power the entire olympics and also other parts of Rio. It is designed to collect solar energy in the day, then use the excess

energy to pump sea water within the tower to create the "waterfall." The water is reused by the turbines to produce energy during the night. The tower also has an ampitheater, an auditorium, and shops. There is an elevator that can take you to the various observation decks on the tower. It hasn't been built yet, and may never be built, but it is already starting to be planned. The tower will also hold the olympic flame.

Solar energy is a great energy source and has a very “bright” future. Sunlight should be used as a future energy source for the Earth.
